Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Manager will report to the Corporate Engineering Manager and lead large, cross-functional capital projects within food manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, compliant, on-time, and on-budget execution from concept through start-up.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Lead large-scale capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects ranging from $2MM to $10MM+ from concept development through commissioning and operational handover
Manage project stage-gate processes, including business case development, NPV analysis, risk assessment, and change control
Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering activities including process, automation/controls, utilities, facilities, and construction trades
Develop and execute procurement strategies, including contractor prequalification, bid evaluations, and vendor selection
Oversee construction management activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements
Develop and execute commissioning, qualification, and start-up plans to ensure performance targets are achieved
Ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, environmental, and safety standards throughout project execution
Manage project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, training, spare parts, and formal handover to Operations and Maintenance teams
Provide regular project status reporting to corporate and site leadership, including schedule, cost, risk, and mitigation plans
Travel as required to support project execution and site coordination
Mentor and develop others in project management best practices and standards.

Qualifications & Requirements Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline preferred)
10+ years of experience managing capital projects within food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing environments
Demonstrated experience managing contractors, vendors, and construction activities
Strong working knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
OSHA 30 or equivalent construction safety training preferred
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
